📦 Storage & Shelf Life

Q: How do I store my edible cake topper? A: Keep it cool, dry, and flat!

Do NOT put it in the fridge before you apply it to the cake. The humidity in the fridge can make the icing sheet bubble or the colors run.

Keep the topper in the sealed zip-lock bag it arrived in until the very moment you are ready to use it.

Store it in a cupboard away from direct sunlight (which can fade the colors).

Q: How long will my edible topper last? A: Our edible icing sheets and wafer paper have a long shelf life. If kept in their sealed packaging, they are good for 6 to 12 months. This means you can order well in advance of your party without worrying about it going "off."

Q: Can I reuse the acrylic or wood toppers? A: Absolutely! Our non-edible toppers (Acrylic and Wood) are durable keepsakes. After the party, simply wipe the stake clean with warm soapy water (do not soak the wood), dry it, and store it for next time—or keep it in a memory box!

Q: How do I apply an edible icing sheet to my cake? A: It’s easy as 1-2-3:

Bake and ice your cake (buttercream, fondant, or ganache works best).

With dry hands, gently peel the icing sheet off the plastic backing. Place it gently onto your frosted cake. Smooth it down lightly with your dry palm. The moisture from the frosting will bond with the sheet, merging them together.

Q: What is the difference between Icing Sheets and Wafer Paper? A:

Icing Sheets: These are premium sheets of thin icing. They are opaque, white, and offer photo-quality printing. They melt into the cake surface for a professional look. Best for photos and main cakes.

Wafer Paper: Made from potato starch (like communion wafer). It is slightly translucent and stiffer. It doesn't "melt" into the cake but is fantastic for "standing up" cupcake toppers or butterflies.

Q: Will the colors look exactly like they do on my screen? A: We use high-quality edible inks, but please remember that printing on icing is not the same as printing on glossy photo paper. Colors may appear slightly softer or matte due to the texture of the icing. However, we always strive for the sharpest, most vibrant finish possible.
